Born in 2022 from the meeting of two talented musicians - Joachim Baumerder on violin and Simon Lacouture on drums - marta quickly stood out for its innovative approach. Influenced by the club scene, they compose techno and electro music using their acoustic instruments, enhanced with sophisticated sound effects. Their unique sound research aims to reproduce the characteristic sounds of synthesizers and drum machines with traditional instruments. The violin, thanks to numerous effect pedals, adopts rhythmic patterns typical of techno. The drums imitate the sound of famous drum machines, while synthesizers, skillfully integrated into their setup, provide bass and chords. Their mission is to breathe new live and organic energy into the techno scene, offering a show entirely played live with instruments rarely seen in clubs.
